I recently bought an HP Envy with Windows 8 preloaded on it. W8 is a complete disaster in my mind, but the point is the recording software I use is not compatible with W8. Music is my job, it's how I make a living so this stuff is vital. I need to know either how to downgrade to Windows 7 (I do not have 8 Pro, and I don't believe I have downgrading rights,) how to get a 32bit version of 8, or how to make these programs (Cakewalk, Fruity Loops,) compatible. I've been browsing different forums for a while and most of the answers I see in response to questions about compatibility are something like "Just get ViStart/StartW8/etc. etc." but that's really not the point. I have a Start Menu emulator and I know how to use W8, that is not the problem. I would like W7 back until either Windows gets their junk in order or the programs I use become compatible. Problem is I have no time to sit around and wait for one or both of those scenarios, so I'm asking for some help. Thanks in advance!
