    WMC

I have successfully installed WMC and reactivated. My question is; if at some point in the future a reformat and reinstall is needed would I have to reinstall WMC and will I have to go through all this again. Or will is all ready be saved some how.

You would have to reinstall it. I am wondering if the free key will work on a reinstall after the freebie no longer is available. I think I saw somewhere that the answer is no, but don't remember for sure. You might want to check this out.

I have called Microsoft at this number before & got good free help.

I chose for them to call me back instead of waiting on hold for God knows how long.

That was the basis and premiss of my question.

Whether or not the free key will continue to work you'll have to reinstall it.

If it's treated like a Windows Store purchase or Xbox purchase, your online account will store your purchases and recognize them. So once you own something, you can erase and redownload the item as many times as you like. So once you own it, you own it forever, even if they remove it from the marketplace (unless it was some type of promotional item for which a copyright license expires like something like a promo for an released blockbuster movie).

But I'd be interested in the specific answer to WMC because I use WMC all the time for my 4 tuners.
