sfc /SCANNOW shows no errors
My metro shows the Desktop Tile and the store tile. and the store tile doesn't work. There are no other tiles.
Under another login i have some colored tiles and some with symbols , all are dead/they don't update and the store doesn't work either.
i ran the go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=271185
AppsDiagnostic.diagcab
an it said i needed a microsoft live account and i had corrupt files
is there any command to restore the app files and fix my store and re-install metro?
if sfc /SCANNOW doesn't detect corrupt files then what?
A refresh is out of the question as i am not re-installing all of my desktop apps.
with a clean sfc /scannow there must be a fix.
I already tried this and it fixed the sfc /scannow problems with the command below:huh:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
is there a variant of the above command to fix Metro?
In the event viewer i do see this error
Unable to start a DCOM Server: Windows.Store as Unavailable/Unavailable. The error:
"2"
Happened while starting this command:
"C:\Windows\System32\WWAHost.exe" -ServerName:Windows.Store
I have read that if i got the store to work it's easy to restore your apps.
I have never purchased any apps i just wanted the default apps back.
My charms still work. Luckily i have enough sense to have a start button alternative!
Imagine No Metro and No Start Button!
