    Program to view directory use

I need a program that I can lock onto an .exe and see what directories and files it connects to and uses while it runs. I've been doing some googling and haven't been able to find anything. Do any of you know of any program that does such a thing?

You can do this with Process Monitor from Microsoft's Sysinternals.
Just make sure to set up filters properly.

$Windows.~ directory in General Support
Has anyone determined for sure what it is for. It is left after 8.1 installs. Early some thought you could move it to other computers to avoid the 3.2gig download but it only has 3-400 meg. It took me8 hours to download/install. Not going to do that for four more units.
