PDF files don't show thumbnail previews

    Well I set default as Nitro and finally thumbnails are generated. Only Reader and Foxit exist apart from this.

    Thanks, Nitro seems to do this!

    Don't know if it is possible to edit the appearance of these thumbnails though? There is no "box" around the thumbnail image so if it is a white page it just blends into the white background. As in, there is no differentiation between the windows explorer background colour and the colour of the PDF thumbnail.

    Yeah there is no border but anyways it is fine I guess.

    thought i would just add this to a old thread
    be sure to add the preview handler when installing.
    Fixes for 64-bit Adobe Reader preview handler and thumbnails

    100% works with 8 as it did when i had win7

    Know anything similar for Foxit/Windows Reader? I prefer Foxit to Adobe

    I tried this. Didn't work for me.

    Anyways, I am back to Foxit as the latest version of Foxit generates thumbnails
