Solved Metro UI featured applications are not working

Hi, i'm having problem with Windows 8 Metro UI featured applications, they're all stop working. I don't know what did I do wrong but they were working just awhile ago. Indeed a have a crappy connection, but I can still browse with google chrome and I can't with IE10 in Metro, it only says "This page can't be displayed". It includes, Mail, People, Messaging, News, Sports, Weather and Maps applications..

If I remembered correctly, all I did was reformatting the DVD that used for installing Windows 8, installed google chrome, installing Microsoft Office 2013 (with an attempt and failed activation)..

What do you mean in not working? Not updating? They won't open?

Go to System and check the status of activation.

Curious as to why you reformatted the install disc?

Hi thanks for replying.. The apps are closing as soon as they start. I activated it via KMS for 180 days. I reformatted my DVD because I'm planning to burn a Windows 8 AIO copy.

Alright, I fixed it using system restore. But I have a feeling that I will encounter these problems again. If then, I'll try using SFC.

I always advise scannow first so one doesn't lose anything. Refresh if scannow doesn't do the trick.
