Skype is broken

I just got a ghost call from one of my skype contacts from the Skype metro app.It's not the first time this happened. I was browsing in desktop mode when a notification popped from the right and said "xxx" calling. I clicked on answer, the Skype metro app opened and directed me to the chat history from that contact. I called the contact, and she said she tried to call me 10 minutes earlier. I think there's some kind of lag with the metro app. I also randomly get chat messages in my skype metro app though I have already received that message in the desktop skype app.
Last time I was on skype metro, it was signed in as appear offline. However when the contact "called" the skype app wasn't running.
Also skype metro can't detect my webcam for some reason. Same thing for the camera app. And my tunein app doesnt work anymore.
I am seriously starting to feel that installing windows 8 was a bad idea.

I dislike metro as it's more for touche screens but am happy with windows 8
I downloaded and installed (Skype version) for desk top. It works perfectly.

I've used the Modern UI version of Skyoe exclusively for a while now - mainly because of its integration with the people app in Windows 8 and the people hub in Windows Phone 8 - and the experience has been stellar.
