Hi guys, been a lurker here for a while now. Great site I have learned a lot and got a few fixes from here.
I'm having trouble with the Netflix metro app and haven't found anything related online so thought I would register and ask for some help
I'll start from the beginning, I downloaded the metro app and started it up. It loads fine, I can browse videos etc but when I click to play a video, the loader gets to 99% then the app crashes and closes.
I get an error in event viewer, here is all the data from that:
1.Source: .NET Runtime
2. Source: Application Error
I thought that this was related to my graphics driver which I got from windows update because Intel are not supporting Win8 for my chip (series4).
I had a browse around and found a modified driver from XDleader555
The driver here is older than the one from Windows Update, but it does give me the proper Intel Graphics Options panel in the systray and it fixes an error I had in Photoshop CS6 and lets me use OpenGL which I could not do with the windows driver.
However, now when I click to play a video in Netflix the program crashes at 30% and closes.
I am not getting much info from event viewer, is there anywhere else I can look to see what is going on?
Any help would be much appreciated, this is really annoying me.
Lastly, Netflix in browser works fine and all other metro apps work fine.
