I am a bit irritated on the way they implemented the "start menu" / metro menu or whatever they call it.
I am used to just pressing the start button and then typing the name of the application I want and then pressing enter to launch it. Controls are the same now in windows 8 but I just feel... that its a bit sluggish because the search now leads you away from what you were working on... which is irritating me. As I do not really need a full screen change when all I want is to just search for a program and open it. Plus it is indeed sluggish than the old way... since what if you decide on cancelling out that search? -- then you need to press two buttons to get back to what you're doing.
... not to mention it breaks concentration.
What program or application can I use to just simplify this? I'd like to press a button, type the name of the application I want and then press enter to launch it without having to open that irritating metro screen.
