Solved Metro display issues

Hello, after trying several registry tweaks and other solutions to get Metro apps working, I was finally able to open them after uninstalling avast!, however as of a few days ago all my apps started displaying black bars everywhere, email became unreadable, etc. I'll attach images to better illustrate what I'm dealing with.

I'm assuming this is being caused by something messed up in my registry and if so I'm hoping my images will be enough for someone to know what specifically is wrong, if they aren't enough, I did make a back up of my registry before messing with it, but this problem appeared after I had installed things so I'm not sure if reverting to my backup will cause more issues or not.

Yeah, normally "Reinstall your operating system" is a sly dig that people use in tech support forums to mean "You're screwed" but maybe with Refresh you could do it pretty painlessly.
Go to Start>Search>"Refresh" (settings) and look for "Refresh your computer". Since you're in a pretty bad state, it may be something to consider. You shouldn't lose much of anything in doing so, at least from what I know.

Well alright, if I must, are specific folders saved when refreshing? Or just anything outside of the Program Files folders?
