I've just received an email from Microsoft with a link to download Office 2013 RTM Evaluation (I'm currently evaluating The Preview).

I'm downloading it now, but I'm confuse, it doesn't say if I have to uninstall the Preview first or install on top of it? Can anyone enlighten a little fellow? :)

I always make a clean install, so you uninstall the old one first and reboot the PC, this is what I did from preview to the retail one

1. Uninstall Office 2013 Preview..
2. Install Office 2013 RTM.
3. Start Word.
4. Note with horror that it's still all glaring white.
5. Find how to select between white, very light grey and slightly less light grey.
6. Wish you could get some colour into it.
7. Try Small Caps out and compare with Publisher.
8. Note that Word still only offers fake small caps.
9. Wonder why the [insert expletive of choice] Word can't do proper small caps - it can do ligatures and styles, so why not small caps?
10. Ask why anyone would bother with the upgrade.
11. Answer in the negative.
12. Rejoice that this is a free version and you have wasted not a penny.
13. Uninstall Office 2013 and reinstall Office 2010.
14. Dream nostalgically of good old days with Windows XP and beautifully ribbon-less Office 2003....
