No "As Items Arrive" option

my office 365 exchange account setup seemed to word flawlessly except that the mail app is set to download every 30 minutes. the option to set it to As Items Arrive doesn't exist, it only goes as low as every 15 minutes. I have two systems running win 8, and one will download mail as it arrives, the other will not. not sure what is causing the difference but I would like to resolve it. any ideas? Both appear to be configured for ActiveSync.

witch apps do you use to check you 365 email, Office Outlook ? and witch version ?

well the option exist in Metro Mail, and it work fine for me, are you sure you are using an office 365 email account , I means you have to pay for office 365 to have one

yes, i have a p1 account with O 365. i see exactly what you see on one of my systems. everything setup and configured automatically. my laptop, however, is not. it gives only the 15 thru manual options. i have both the desktop and the laptop setup the same way - i went thru basically the same process on both. the only difference is that on the laptop, win 8 PRE sets up the mail accounts (i guess the settings are suppose to sync when you log in with your MS account to each new PC).

I setup Outlook on the laptop that is having this issue, and it sets up fine. i will use outlook for now. but there seems to be either an issue with the way mail/Win8 syncs settings between pc's (and i have deleted and tried adding the account anew - but it still doesn't download as items arrive) -- or there is some issue with mail. As a test, i am going to add a new user to this pc and see how mail configures the account when the "sync" feature doesn't set things up.
