many "classic" windows programs has multiple programs menu shortcuts. now when i install programs in windows 8 i notice that the metro interface accumulate those shortcuts "loose" without any grouping .

metro interface is a lame idea ?
micro$oft is trying to squeeze the metro into out throats ?

MS keep shoving it at you to try to get you to go to their online services.

Many people work around the annoyance by installing something like the free classic shell. It lets you skip the ghastly start screen thing as an option - and provides a start menu so desktop users can get around efficiently.

Your opinion is your own, although there's a technical reason for it - any program that installs itself can pick and choose which icons go to the start screen, and which are hidden by default. Older programs aren't likely to contain this extra installation logic, so you end up with old programs spamming the start menu. It isn't ideal, but I'm not sure how Windows could delineate on it's own which icons should be placed.
