Ever since I upgraded to Windows 8 I see a black box where there used to be a picture of myself when I talked to other people. When I go to video settings there is just a black box that shows my camera. When I talk to other people they can see me fine and in video settings I can see a picture of the people I'm talking to when I should see a picture of myself. I am using a laptop computer so I cant unplug the camera.

Please help me get back the picture of myself when I'm Video Calling on Skype.

thanks

I tried uninstalling Skype and downloading the newest version and reinstalling it and still the same problem.

Desktop Skype or Modern UI Skype?

See if you have the same issue with the Modern UI version.

ok that works. thank you Kebero!

now I have another question.

How do you access your Photos in one window and drag them to The Skype Chat Bubble. With windows 7 I used to be able to do 2 or 3 or 4 things all at the same time. I have 2 screens and I could copy and past and drag things all over the place. Windows 8 will only let me run one app at a time.

You can run more than one Modern UI app at the same time in the foreground by using the snap feature. However, I don't think that the Modern UI version of Skype maintains that same level of functionality. There may be a way to embed images into the chat bubble, but this is never something I've done (in fact, I didn't know you could do that until I read your post).
