Windows Store not opening

I've had this problem ever since my first upgrade to Windows 8 from Windows 7. After my first installation, I've noticed that when I click on the Store tile, nothing happens. So I researched a bit and found out some possible solutions, such as uninstalling my antivirus program (so now I'm only running Windows Defender), running system file checker, changing my profile to local profile, and WSReset.exe, which returned me an error saying

"ms-windows-store:purgeCachesThis app failed to launch because of an issue with its license. Please try again in a moment."

So I've re-installed Windows 8 as the ultimate method, and it still doesn't work. Weirdly though, on my second installation, I was able to install Google Chrome Metro App (not via Store but via Google on Windows 8). Now if I want to install any Metro apps not via store but via internet, the "Install" button is gone.

I'm assuming the problem is related to that error message above, and it seems that a handful of people are having the same issue. Can anyone help me?
