Hi guys, I've noticed that the Bing Maps App keeps giving me the wrong location for where I am based whenever I run it.

Has anyone else had the same problem or know of a resolution for this problem?

Thanks guys!

That would be your problem. Its very rare to have GPS hardware installed in a PC. So the maps app tries its best to guess your location off a few things. Isp,IP address, closest maps server. Such forth and so on. This is very inaccurate and will never give you a good reading. You will find your location will change just about every time.
Sorry mate the location stuff is more designed for mobiles.
You can how ever plot in your current location to help it generate route data.
If your not familiar with the maps app I can find some info on how to use it for you.

That's a shame, because on the first installation I had of Windows 8, the location services worked perfectly fine, pinpointed my location/nearest city fine. However, its now saying on this new install that I'm "located" in Glasgow haha, which is some three odd hours away from me :D

Ah well, never mind I suppose :)

You can drag and move the my location icon, place it correctly. Right click to make the move permanent.
