    Surprised to see all the recent posts there. Then again not so much. Lots of people are so resistant to change and maybe they simply can't afford to upgrade.

    That start screen was awesome.

    Moved to the dust bin. I tried to start a conversation. Oh well.

    I just saw this. I actually haven't seen a lot of activity there lately, other than news posts that are just duplicated from the 8 and 10 Forums. But I still run Vista x64 Ultimate (but vLited). What were you hoping to find out?

    I just posted a few times over there. The wife still has a Vista system which she bought the first day Vista came out (Febr. 1, 2007). It still works but it is slow. I could not upgrade it with a SSD because it is not Sata.

Hi there I think finally Windows 8.1 is getting through to the public -- even on these Forums windows 8 users has reached approx. 60% of the number on 7 Forums. Update 1 definitely is a huge improvement on the original Windows 8 which wasn't that great. Looks like Ms also has decent things...

Solved Vista 32 to 8 x64 in Installation & Setup
Hi all! I've currently a laptop with Vista 32 bit ( regularly activated ). My CPU supports 64 bit instruction format so I want to increase RAM and install Windows 8 x64. Is it possible?? There is a way to do this with only an Upgrade disc? Thanks in advance for all the answers :)

Considering pros and cons of new install over updating. I have vista 32 with microsoft works that came with the Dell I checked online and my processor is 64 capable. Is there a real advantage of installing 8pro 64, which I have the disk for install? Or should I just stick with the 32 upgrade...
