Hi Gang,

Didn't see any links/page regarding members system specs, is there not going to be any?

Its been helpful on Seven, but guess with Eight not even out, its not important at this time. When it is released, imho it is useful to see what people have when helping them.

Of course the system specs are not going to useful to all situations, the poll is meant to be "in general" which is why there is only two choices, yes or no.

Do you find it helpful to see members system specs when trying to help them?

No worries here, just was curious as to why there not available yet and to ask if members do find them helpful.

I've been using the "Default Style" site view and apparently the link isn't there which threw me off a little. Having switched to the "Windows eight beta" view, I now do see the link.

Yes, it's useful... when they actually fill it.
I'm wondering when Zero will implement it here.

There's a lot of things not implemented yet, with this site being born only today. If you find stuff missing/not right, post your finds here so z3r010 can go thru all the stuff that needs to be addressed. ;)

Isnt this a pointless poll ?

Where i see things from specs helps everyone but with most of us either running vista or seven or even both it is kinda pointless to add it just yet

If you only want it to see what people have someone can start a thread for specs or show us your rig etc

specs dont have to be added this very second

Laptop models are more standardized than desktop models. The more detailed specs are for the custom computer where the owner selected the components individually. Manufacturers sometimes use different components in a desktop for the same model depending on what is available, more often than they do with a laptop.

To find out what is inside your Presario F700, get the serial number off the bottom and go to the Compaq web site and look it up. Then use that information to fill some of the other specs.

Cheers!
Robert
