    A separate sub-forum for W8.1 ?

    A question for the moderators

Is it possible to move (or duplicate in) all posts regarding Windows 8.1 Preview in a sub-forum, or a new forum?

    Hello lmod,

Since Windows 8.1 is basically just an update to Windows 8, it would be best to keep them together in the current forum topics.

Thanks, Shawn - I thought it would make it easier to find info for 8.1

I have been having the same discussion on another forum, Shawn.
    I follow your comment.
But, bearing in mind total newbies, and lesser experienced users seeking help, there are some subtle differences in the use of Windows 8.1. Those seeking help could be confused by conflicting responses to their requests. If it was more clearly defined as for 8.1, I feel that it would clarify the situation?

It would also help browsers (such as me.!) from having to flip through different threads to see what feedback is coming forth.

    Hey Dave,

Yeah, the OP will need to be sure to specify if they Windows 8 or 8.1 installed when asking for help, or starting a discussion about it.

Updating their system specs for the OS would also help with this.

I'm just not sure it would make sense or not to have a separate 8.1 section since it will all be 8.1 at the end of the year.

I use Windows 8 on a rMBP, but frequently use an external monitor that's 1080p. Since it scales 200% for the HiDPI of the rMBP, it's way too big on the external. Is there a way I can have it scale only the internal monitor, and leave the external one at 100%?
