Solved manage attachments????

I didn't know where else to ask this type of question & couldn't any place that would answer it. Someone please direct me to the right place if I am wrong.

When I go into Manage Attachments & click on browse all that happens is that the screen just blinks at me & that's all.
Funny thing is I did post an attachment on a post yesterday, but even then I had problems doing it for awhile.

Any input would be appreciated.

Jim

Hello Jim,

The tutorial below can help show you more on how to upload and attach files and/or images from within your post here at Eight Forums.

You don't want to delete any attachments while in your "Manage Attachments" since that would delete them in the post they were attached in. This would break the image link in the post, make the post no longer make sense without it, and make not as helpful to someone with the same issue.

I looked at your posts below, and I don't see any attachments from you so far.

Hope this helps, :)

In addition to what Brink told you above: Do you have enabled pop-ups? The Manage Attachments window is a pop-up, disabling pop-up windows might prevent your browser from opening it.

Thanks, Kari. I disabled the Pop-up blocker in internet option and have the same results. I have followed the tutorial that Brink refered me to the letter, which I was already doing anyway, and the results are the same every time I click the browse button. Screen just stutters at me & nothing happens. Won't let me browse to my hard drive to select a Jpg file to attach.

Brink, I think I know what the culprit here is and it is all tied to my dual boot issue you referred to above. I booted into win 8 & came back here to the Dual boot Win7/Win 8 - Drive letter issues post & had no trouble with sending the attachement if you look at that post. I think if I can get that resolved all will be well. If you have any ideas on that post I'm all ears.

Thanks for your time. It is much appreciated,
Jim

Jim,

It looks like you got the image "uploaded" successfully, but it just wasn't "attached" by going back to the paperclip icon and selecting the uploaded image to embed/attach the image in the post. :)
