When I send a reply to a post in this forum, and then delete it in my inbox, I find my reply has come back to me and hopefully the person intended. I guess I have a setting off but cannot find it.

Your talking about 2 different things...a reply in the forum is different then a reply to a personal PM. A reply to a post in the forum shows up in the forum. A reply to a PM shows up in the inbox of your forum account. To check the settings, use the user CP (control panel) to make any changes and setups to the user account.

I apologize for not stating the issue correctly. When I reply to you now it will show up in my inbox as well as yours.
I scoured the c p to see if I could correct this and could not find any box to address this.
I will continue to work on it.

OK...In the user control panel, general settings, default thread subscriptions mode...use the drop down menu to change it....I have mine set to "do not subscribe".

I've never heard of this happening before, next time you get one can you forward it back to the support email that is came from so I can take a look at the headers to help me try to track down the problem.

Is the default for default thread subscriptions mode, 'email instantly' or 'do not subscribe'?
I will leave it on the former so I will still get an answer until this is resolved and when it happens again I will forward it back.
I will change it to 'do not subscribe' if that is the default' That would be different than other forums wouldn't it?

They can vary. If I recall, I think this forum defaults to emailing instantly. So just set it to what you want.
