The annoying part is that it seems so random... my laptop has been on for like 30 hours now with no incidents, I've used a few programs at the same time, no problem whatsoever and Chrome with loads of tabs open. It's all fine for the time being. Don't think it's the overheating that's causing...

To be fair, one of the optional updates included the WiFi adaptor, but that particular update didn't quite do anything at the time. However, I looked at the Event Manager and around the freezes there was an error regarding DHCP, so it I guess it might have been something regarding the Internet.
