Hi...wanted to follow up on this. I tried the dongle...again, the computer recognized the connection, but still said the IP address is not valid. The next step is a new card if what I've gathered from the advice so far is right. Is this so?

Uninstalling and rebooting didn't work...but thanks for that, I hadn't tried that. I had tried swapping out the cable previously, however I used an old cable I had in the bucket o'cables...will get a new one to make sure that's not the issue. Thanks for the help, I'll keep trying. ...wec
