Ok, I'm in class right now and gonna do this when i get home but just so I'm not mistaken, what I'm going to do is plug in my SSD format it and convert it from MBR to GPT then do a clone using Macrium or Clonezilla and it should work this time, the only thing I can think of is it not working...

Ok, I think I found my problem after Clonezilla didn't work I started looking at a couple things and found that my current drive is GPT partitioned instead of MBR, the first time i plugged in my ssd I initialized it as MBR, so now i have two questions. Is it possible to switch the ssd to GPT and...

does anyone know of a free software that supports hybrid cloning? my best guess at this point is that macrium isn't gonna do it for me....

just tryed another clone with everything and the correct order now and when i try to boot from it, the logo appears and loads but an error pops up and it restarts and boots from the drive hooked up to SATA

Ok, Here's a pic of what I am looking at in macrium, I've tried cloning a couple different partitions including just the c: drive which didn't work, and everything but the flash memory which also didnt work, and this last one which everything on the hard drive and it still isn't working.

I used macrium reflect to clone, i only cloned c partition although there were other partitions to pick from, how can i tell which is which?

not concerned with size of the partition as i can shrink that, but is there something in the flash needed to boot properly? I'm trying to understand the error im getting after the clone and i try to boot from ssd

The flash storage portion of the SSHD is only 8gb with 1000gb of traditional mechanical memory. All my files add up to about 209gb in total so it should be able to fit on the ssd, or do i still have to go the backup image route instead of clone?
