    Okay, so I went ahead and used the link you gave me, used a thumb drive and did the clean install of windows 8.1.. What is weird now is that I only have 40gb free on a 500gb hard drive. I now also have 9 partitions. What happened?

    The software gives a message that says to make sure you have your product key whey you're ready to install. I know you said it automatically pulls your product key but I have to be sure that it does that because i dont know what my product key is. Any insight?
