I recently built a new comp. ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3 motherboard i7 2600 processor 8GB DDR3 1600 CL9 RAM My system info shows 8 gigs of RAM but with only 3.48 usable. Why is half my RAM unusable?

I can browse but many other functions seem not to be working. I cannot activate or update windows, all security certificates read as invalid, can't upload attachments to either here or rapidshare, "windows smartscreen can't be reached right now" for everything, the add-on manager for firefox...

Personally, I like to use Zune (& since I have a Zune HD, I kinda have to). But it doesn't do ebooks. Got Calibre for that. But I'd like to hear what other people use. I'd like to see what else is out there that I haven't heard about.

I used it. Didn't see skipping as an option. EDIT: It was my clock! I was living three years in the past.

Other issues resolved. However, still can't activate or update ATM.

Can't Activate 32 bit "Windows can't activate right now Try activating later." Been getting this for hours. Is there any way other than contacting Microsoft Customer service & Support?

Yeah it's the same one I downloaded. I can't update the device because it's no longer listed. I just ran a check for new hardware & got the BSOD again.

The crashes seem to be related to trying to install J-micron driver. I keep trying to upload a zip of the log files to this post but I see no indication that it actually attached. Is there some default IE setting preventing this? I'm usually a FF user.

No AVG or others. I don't have any programs installed & then only driver I've been messing with is this one. Every time I run the driver installation W8 crashes. The driver was even showing up a reboot or two ago in Device Manager. Then I switched over to Disk Management to look for the drives...

Got rid of driver scanner. J-micron however is causing automatic DCP Watchdog Violation/BSOD.

Okay, this is embarrassing. I forgot about the hotswap bay on top of the machine - it's connected in the adapter I thought the 1tb green was in. The 1tb will likely be fine. If by third party software you mean the jmicron driver, that's all about the PCI-E card I bought to add more SATA...
