I found the solution! I went to radioshack and bought a newer cable (the other four I have are around 8-9 years old and they wrapped mostly with black tape except for one which is the one I consider fairly new) and guess what, my internet worked instantly... so thank you again for all your support!

I'm going to their offices tomorrow to see if they'll give me my old modem-router back. I'll post update if I get my internet working again.

Yeah, that's the one that I'm using. Still nothing. This is really weird I can't figure out why the computer can't 'hold a connection with the modem-router.

Popeye, I re-installed the latest driver and still nothing :( seems like I'm hopeless on this one. I set my wired autoconfig to automatic and started the service to see if that helps..

I believe I have. There's something confusing to the drivers. On MSI's website, they have a 1.1.42 version and on Qualcomms' there is the 1.1.38 which they have as the latest. Now on this other website, driverscape, they have version 2.1.0.21 so I really don't know which one is the real latest...

I called them and they checked my connections and since my Internet worked via Ethernet and Wireless on all my other computers they said they couldn't do anything else because the problem was on my end and it is me who has to fix my computer in order for their service to work. Popeye, I apologize for my late response. I didn't work :( - I got on the phone with a Microsoft technician and he guided me through some of those steps you posted. I've even set up my IP manually and still nothing. I flushed my IP and reset the logs, still nothing. What else is there to do? :(

Two days ago my ISP replaced my modem-router for a new one. Ever since the replacement, my main desktop computer won't connect to the internet "immediately". I checked the connection via ethernet and WiFi with my other computers (even tested every single one of my ethernet cables) and they work...
