    Didn't know whether to ask here or in the setup thread. I have Windows 7 & 8 as a dual boot on the same hard drive. I need to re-install Windows 7. I assume Windows 8 has control of the MBR, so what will happen to Windows 8, will 7 override the MBR and if so how do I get 8 back again? Windows 7...

    Hi guys, Thanks for replies. SIW2 you are correct, Microsoft is going to make it difficult if not impossible to use bcedit. I've abandoned the idea and now have Fedora running on a separate M/C.

    Thanks for reply. Tried that before, made a complete mess and had to re-install MBR on Windows 7 and re-install Windows 8. So what is the other option where it says Windows 8, Windows 7 or other on boot menu?

    To the more knowledgeable than me. Here's what I want to do. Install Linux on a separate hard drive and put the "boot" on the "/" partition not the MBR. I already have Windows 7 on the main drive and intend to install Windows 8 on a separate partition. Re-connect the drive with Linux installed...

    Why would I troll, have I tried to sell you something? I am using Fedora 17 alpha at the mo. but when I boot back into Windows I will take a screen shot. This also happens in Windows 7.

    Well nothing rerally. It was working and now it's not. I am going to re-install Windows 8 again, fingers crossed. They still don't seem to solved the problem of "explorer cannot display webpage", which is annoying.

    I can't get Explorer 10 to run on my desktop, had to remove it.
