So using a friends Windows 8 key started the DL process for the Windows 8 ISO. Looks like Microsoft blocked my CD key... Wow.
To further answer questions, it's a retail key, 8 Pro. Must have attempted the install too many times last night.
I keep getting a "We can't connect right now" error when trying to download the windows ISO using Windows8-Setup.exe.
Any ideas to fix this? I've tried multiple computers with the same key, and all the computers are getting this same error.
Brink, please explain something for us slower minds. If you install 8.1 ISO, the one that doesn't include the update, can you then go back and get the update from Windows Updates?
Yeah I tried all kinds of trouble shooting methods including the ones you mentioned. Getting someone else to verify would be helpful. Not sure where to go from here in getting a clean 8.1.
Hey Vic and Brink. So my post earlier is regarding option 1. With the new file Windows provided, the option 1 no longer works. The new installation file ALWAYS prompts for a CD KEY, even if you started and stopped with install of 8.
