Ahh yes, Telemetry updates - thanks for that. I knew there was something to look out for. I have done that on my Win 7 machine as i check as i go along. Microsoft are making it harder to know what goes into each update though now. What about the monthly rollups? Do you install those?

Ok, will try that first and then try a system restore. Failing that... Could it be that the profile got corrupted in which case there may be the need to create a new profile and copy the user files across to the new profile? Want to avoid that if possible though.
