Thanks. The model no. of my PC is SX 2185. It is an Acer/Gateway. My digital recorder (H1 ZOOM) is connected by USB, and I do get playback on several of my apps. (WaveLab, etc). Very much appreciated. I'll let you know how it turns out. mjl60
