I am a mac user myself and I just bought this desktop the other day, so I dont know about good programs. But I think for torrents , utorrent works just as good on my desktop as on my iMac/Macmini. Try it out! :)

So sorry that I couldnt be at help. Do as caperjack says, that is the solution I think. I am also running 8.1 so its strange that you dont have that option. But not so strange if you are in metro, that looks very different.

My desktop is built 2010.

I have heard that sometimes it can be good to reformat the PC, even if it is brand new. So maybe you could try that out?

Too bad that Group Policy wont help. Yea, I guess I will have to ignore it then. :( But its bothering me as it does not look very good.

I have no idea, but from what I can see when I look in my own IE there is a menu that says "Tools" if you click it, you will see "Toolbars" you can maybe find your toolbars in there? Here is a picture. Hope it helps?
