Need to create recovery media. Originally started with Upg

Thanks. That's the first thing I tried. Unfortunately, I tried the repair option but after about a minute of scanning, it stops and reboots. I also do not get any Command Prompt option which I was hoping for. Is there a trick to get the Command Prompt option to come up?

Try this. http://www.eightforums.com/installation-setup/33164-how-download-windows-8-1-iso.html I had to Refresh my Win 8.1. Unfortunately, not everything was left in tact, however, it still creates the Windows.old folder for you. Read the directions carefully.

Five reasons Windows 8.1 is a winner

Windows 8.1 is great, tablet or desktop. Not sure why if you dont like it, that you continue to read or post in a forum about Windows 8. You hate it, then stay on Win 7 or whatever else then. Windows 8/8.1 is fully functional for a tablet or desktop.

Do you agree the Windows 8.1 Start Button is a Joke?

If you still have issues with Windows 8(.1)'s Start screen, then I guess you can suck it up or Windows 8 just isnt for you. Use your third party add on, stay with Windows 7 or stop whining. There is nothing wrong with the Start screen and we dont need a pop up menu. Sometimes you have to accept...

Maybe someone else can take this one. If he saw an actual "suspension mode" text on screen, that doesnt sound like a Windows issue. Ive never seen that before. If I were you, first try checking and changing your Hibernation/Sleep settings first the way the Tutorial link above shows you. See...
