Thats odd. You said you updated the drivers to the beta AMD drivers and updated the intel drivers as well, right? You didnt let the site auto pick them for you did you? Cause i dont think it would auto pick the beta ones.

Well, maybe try updating your intel graphics driver as well. I noticed they released a new driver for windows 8.1, and my screen looks amazing again now that I updated.

Okay, to fix the dimness issue I just had to restart it again. So the steps I supplied are what I did to fix the issue. I have a Samsung series 7 Chronos that is now running windows 8.1. :)
