    That probably would work, but if you had messed up your video drivers you would need to enter VGA Mode in order to get to Msconfig in the first place!

    Ok guys, some of you are missing the point here - this isn't about getting my VM to work properly in VirtualBox. The more pressing issue is if this feature remains omitted in the final version. I personally feel that it may end up being that way, and this is going to cause problems for technicians.

    True, I may have jumped the gun a bit... I'm going to let them know about it anyway, it's an important feature IMO. I'm running x64, VirtualBox provides a display driver as part of the Guest Additions - it allows better support for 2D / 3D acceleration, plus I'm using VT-x

    Thanks for the reply Avalon - you see the problem is that because you're unable to roll back the new driver you can't even get to that screen, my guess would be that the OS switches from VGA Mode almost instantly. I can't see any way of getting passed this without a reinstall - pressing F8...
