Actually, what I did is to install while still in Windows 7. I figured that if I installed over it, everything should go smoothly. Do you think I should have wiped W7 prior to installing W8?

You're very kind Brink! When you say that it would be converted, does that mean that I don't need to set the boot mode, in BIOS to UEFI. Currently it is in CSM.
