    Build 8047 has been compiled.

That's what I am thinking. Maybe a public beta or tech beta during "build" evemt September. Ether way will we see that beta build on the running everywhere.

    Two years at Eight Forum

I remember all of you from Windows Seven Forum. After Seven went RTM, I kind of lost interest in following beta's. But this is a new season and new OS to watch, get, tinker with and maybe get involved in the beta process they are creating as we speak. It's going to be a fun run. I'm excited.

    Welcome to Eight Forums

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I was active in SF in 2009 when Win7 was going through it's beta, RC/RTM process. Now we get to have fun with a new and exciting OS. I see a lot of users on here from SF and that's great.

Beta-version of Windows 8 will be collected as soon as possible - July

After PDC 2011 (now called Build) in September, we should see a well worked beta. It should turn out to be a public beta that users can submit feedback through their MS Connect accounts.

    Windows 8 Build 7989 leaked

I installed 6.2.7989.0.amd64fre.winmain.110421-1825.iso . Runs fast but some errors when using Internet Exploder. But that is why we have to go thru a long beta. I can't wait for Build in September.

Beta-version of Windows 8 will be collected as soon as possible - July

I would venture to guess the CTP build will be 7989. Most of us have that now. LOL and if my information is correct, the CTP will only be distributed to Gold partners. Historically they do not leak. They will get it through normal distribution methods or as a handout at the end of the WPC...
