    No problems at all with latest Thunderbird on my upgraded 8.1 machine. Only add ons I use are Conversation View and Lighting Calendar. Two POP mail addresses.

    On my Windows 8 machine, text is good in Firefox. Not so good in IE 10. I can tolerate it for a spell in IE ... but it's messing with my eyes. :-/

    I entered 'win' in windows 8 search. I get 25 'win' results in Apps, 67 in Settings and 72 in Files. I clicked on Settings choice and Windows Update was first one on the list. :-/.

    I'm 57 yrs. old. I've used Win98, Win98SE, WinME, XP Pro, Win 7, and now I'm using Win 8 Pro on a desktop. I like it. Had no major problems learning my way around, just like I had no major problems learning my way around on any of the other Windows OS. But --- that's just me. Not speaking for...
