Have you set it as "First display device" or disabled on-board graphics in BIOS? Also from your dxdiag it looks like you have the monitor plugged into the on-board graphics.

Guess RAID BIOS doesn't help, also my Marvel sata3 controller isn't the best. I could take some stuff out of start-up like dropbox, steam and fraps.. but this is my everyday score not a best possible score.

I would imagine the 25GB partition is the restore partition I mentioned earlier. You will definitely need c:\ and the 350MB "system reserved" partition. The others should be data partitions but you can check that before imaging. I'd resize c:\ before creating it's image to make it fit.

Should work fine if your drive is already in AHCI mode. I found IDE mode works but obviously you need trim for an ssd.

a recovery "partition" is different, it allows you to reinstall when your system has gone bad it may work form the usb but I expect you would have to use a program (paragon has a 30 day trial I believe EaseUS partition manager will do the same for free) to copy the partition image to usb then...

I did when trying to enable AHCI mode after install... Was it a traditional BSoD or a ":(" blue screen of unhappiness? (I'll call it that till someone tells me different lol). It may be a driver issue so try it with as few attached devices as possible at first.

I would imagine your laptop has a recovery partition, if you were to image and transfer that partition you should then be able to use it to install windows 8 with AHCI enabled!? That's if your BIOS makes AHCI mode available.

Same could be argued for ios and android, I had no problems using the site through a browser on my phone but find the app better. Just an observation. It seems weird that a windows 8 forum has apps available for most things except windows 8.
