    Got the problem solved. I had to go to Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center on the Pavilion and add "Everyone" to the list. Had to do that to Drive D: and to Documents. Now I can Read, Write to D: on the Pavilion​.

    Went through the tutorial for creating a bootable USB and I got it done. Then did what I hope, a clean install of Windows 8. There where a couple of things that where missing. But that could be because of the computer I am using. But it looks like it is going to work.
