I can confirm that the ESD-to-ISO tool works. I wasn't offered the option to create install media in Upgrade Assistant, either. Check post 4 in this thread as theog above advised.

I still suggest that you try inserting some DVD (preferably bootable?), because it seems to cause some sort of "wait" in my system so I can enter BIOS, even if HDD is now my first boot drive.
