hi have you tried to put the ssd in to the laptop and remove the other drive and then boot from it i would think you wont get it to boot while it is in the enclosure

1) is there a reason you cant make the dvd set to use in this process that i have missed ? 2) go back to disk management and select your ssd drive and delete volume and then create the volume and let your clone program create every thing itself when you start the cloning process

right click on my computer icon on desktop and select manage then select disk management look for your drive in there you might need to create volume or similar for your laptop to see it thanks brad oops to slow

hi i am trying to stop defender doing auto scans which seem to happen about 7 pm aus time which screws up my tv recordings for some reason i would like to get it to scan early morning but cannot seem to find where to change the time it scans in win 8 thanks brad

i uninstalled it today and updated defender mse looked like it was working i was getting the updates every day. thanks for letting me know it wasnt working and yes defender window looks identical to mse thanks brad

you should get the option to boot into win7 half way through the win8 boot up before you get the log on screen for win 8

i found this in the nfo of the image i download from news group why it wont run in vmware VMWare does not implement ACPI 2.0, which Windows 8 requires. It also requires hardware virtualization, any architecture, x86 or x64. Use VirtualBox instead.
