Nevermind, I was looking at the wrong entry in Device Manager. I was looking at audio inputs/ouputs instead of sound controllers. Oops!

When I install the new driver, everything seems to go well, until I check the date of my driver in device manager, and it still shows the driver from August 2013. I see this as the driver version: 6.3.9600.16384

When I try this, it says I already have the latest driver, yet my driver is from August 2013.
