Won't doing a reset force me to start all over listing my favorites?

Some of my favorites tabs in the favorites bar show each websites unique icon, but some will only show the blue IE icon, even though a unique icon is shown in the title bar beside the web address. how do I get them all to show the unique icon?

I've been using lastpass on IE desktop and Chrome with no problem, but can't figure out how to get it to work with the metro app version. ideas anyone???

When I first got 8.1, I installed classic shell, and it was almost like 7 with it. Then I started playing around with Metro to check it out. It eventually made classic shell look so antique, I uninstalled Classic Shell and have never looked back. I love 8.1.

got new surface pro 3 yesterday. got it loaded up today. ran check for updates and it found 43 I needed to download and install.did that, restarted and they all supposedly installed. I go back to check for updates to make sure I got them all, but when I click on check for updates, it spins...

hold on a minute. your asking that question tells me you need to get some local person to work on your computer. if you try anymore.. you will have a much bigger problem than you have now.

netflix is not your problem. could be norton. i stopped using norton about 12 years ago because it created more problems than it solved. also, if you have more than one antivirus program running, it will slow your system to a crawl. that's probably your problem.

If using W8, Windows defender and Malwarebytes. Ccleaner as needed. I've been doing this for years with no problems. Of course I'm only 64 and a young whipper-snapper compared to you.:sarc:

Dell XPS 12 was my answer. So far, it has been the best for my needs. No tablet, no ipad, no desktop either. I do have a wireless mouse and full size keyboard and a 23 inch monitor I use with my XPS when I need to be in office/desktop mode.

Do SSD drives have much of a failure rate, compared to HHD?

How do restore an image to a new hard drive from an external hardrive? You can't boot to a new empty hd can you?

Yes, Macrium free worked for me too just now. I told you wrong. I was trying to make a rescue USB drive, and that's when it told me it could not because there were too many partitions on the drive. I don't have a cd/dvd burner. Ideas?

I tried to do an image or clone with Macrium free and it would not work. Said I had too many partitions??? That's the way I learned of all these partitions. How am I suppose to image or clone this disk? Ideas?
