UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

Yeah, Well I misunderstood and sorry for that. I understand your frustration but I get it now. It's just as I said that I misunderstood the detail further down in the entry which makes mention about the Alt-E cheat mode that I thought it was referring altogether to Windows To Go because it is...

UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

Oh thanks Brink! So it seems that the "MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI computers" in Rufus does indeed create a flash drive that can boot/install in both BIOS and UEFI mode despite the FAQ entry. It seems that the Ruufus's FAQs just isn't updated I guess. May I know what version of Rufus...

UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

Oh, seems I was wrong? UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

Thanks alphnumeric! One last thing though, If I you use the Option 2 which is as you described the Diskpart method, will the created thumb drive installer be both UEFI and BIOS bootable (provided that you set the correct boot mode in the UEFI settings)? With regards to your ASUS laptop being...

UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

Thanks alphanumeric! For your UEFI bootable thumb drive, did you create yours with the guide from this thread using Rufus or Diskapart? Also, do you mean that with the msdn ISO en_windows_8.1_with_update_x64_dvd_6051480.iso, I need not worry about the ESD-TO-ISO program, and that the...
