Runtime broker 5GB memory usage :(

I did. There is no solution that applies to me in that thread, because that thread was written by a developer who was trying to fix a memory leak in his app. I already uploaded the VMM log, as it was requested in that thread.

Runtime broker 5GB memory usage :(

Runtime broker constantly hits 5GB memory usage. It maxes out my RAM, and I can't work. A VMM log is attached for your kind examination. I appreciate your help!

Can't login into Windows 8.1 - password field limited to 9

I know about that, but didn't want to reset my password. (I'm not criticizing you, but) I wanted a real solution. Anyway, I talked with a Dell representative today and he said that Windows 8.1 is not 100% supported by their drivers yet. (He also said that no OEM has full Windows 8.1 support). Is...

Can't login into Windows 8.1 - password field limited to 9

Can't login - password field limited to 9 characters! I just bought a new Windows 8 Dell Vostro 5470 laptop. I signed in with my Live account, which I use on my main computer everyday. I upgraded into Windows 8.1, and set up fingerprint authentication as well. I didn't have a problem...

    Bootscreen resolution wrong for 1280x1024

I see! Get the monitor to remember the settings for that resolution! Clever :) Let's see if that works... Unfortunately it's impossible to do that - my monitor doesn't have such controls :(

    Bootscreen resolution wrong for 1280x1024

Apologies but perhaps I'm missing the point: change my resolution to 800x600, then back to 1280x1024, then "switch back" to 1280x1024 again?

    Bootscreen resolution wrong for 1280x1024

Sorry, I took it for granted then "booting" would come off as "the boot screen" (as in the post title). So, boot screen. The black screen with the blue Windows 8 logo and the spinning circle of white dots :) And my graphics drivers have just been updated today, thank you :) Mind you, the...

Are you confident? If that's true it is definitely not worth wasting my time on this.

Solved Windows 8 is installed on D drive, how to change to C?

I don't want to be impolite and climb a high horse here but, I find it hard to believe Refreshing will do change any drive letters, because as far as I'm concerned all it does is reinstall Windows with the same settings and user files and apps intact. It's supposed to avoid this exact kind of...
