Got tired of IE11 crashing on Windows 8.1. So I started using Google Chrome. Already tired of seeing Shockwave crashes and other assorted nonsense. Everyone criticizes Microsoft but it seems Google can't do much better. Maybe Edge will be the salvation.

Not exactly what you are asking but I had KB3022345 hidden and now it is gone and KB3068708 has shown up. MS reissues/renumbers updates all the time. They have renumbered numerous of these getting ready for Win 10 updates.

I was seeing similar failures with Defender Updates but it hasn't happened for the last few days. I attribute it to an MS issue.
