Error 3006, 3007, 10021 in Event Viewer - slow boots

Hi. Recently I've been experiencing errors 3006, 3007, and 10021 in my event viewer. My boot time has doubled from 16s to 33~s. The only thing that stops these errors from appearing (but doesn't speed up boot time) is disabling Windows Search in services. The errors are: 3006 Performance...

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

Hey. Unfortunately I didn't ever find a fix, just kind of living with it and got used to it. I never clean installed because I couldn't really be bothered looking into it but I might do this Summer when I get more free time.

    I can't install August update KB2975719!

Same as you, still cant download it (error 800F0992 same as OP). What error do you get? Have you perhaps found a fix?

KB2975719 "Failed to Install" every time

Unfortunately it didn't work, it's on a "failure to update..." loop at the moment, like it's been doing everytime I try. Dammit :(

KB2975719 "Failed to Install" every time

Okay, I've disabled WU service, deleted contents of softwaredistribution, running sfc /scannow, so after that, restart, re-enable WIndows Update Serivce, and search for updates, and download normally?

KB2975719 "Failed to Install" every time

Okay. I kind of accidentally deleted all the contents in that folder, woops. See what happens. Thanks

Hey. How do I stop/start windows update? Is it just typing net "start/stop wuauserv" in cmd prompt?

KB2975719 "Failed to Install" every time

Hi. I recently got KB2975719 through windows update a few days ago, and it installs fine, but when I restart my computer, after getting to 100%, it says "Failed to Update, Undoing Changes.." I've tried everything in the article for KB2975719 (downloading all the pre-requisites etc), but...

Continues Errors at startup "Metadata staging failed"

Most likely a driver or bios glitch across the Asus lines then, I'm using a Asus Maximus VII Z97 Ranger.

Continues Errors at startup "Metadata staging failed"

Exact same error as OP, I know OP is using an Asus motherboard, are you? I am. Could be something to do with a driver etc

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

I've ran RegScanner and searched for dxgkrnl.sys, and there seems to be more entries than possibly needed, but I'm unsure whether it's safe to delete any or not, so I haven't touched anything yet. Screenshot of the registry entries for dxgkrnl.exe attached:

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

Thanks for the help. I just realised I'm stupid - I looked at the log more closely, and realised that the dxgkrnl.sys driver does infact load, but it also redundantly loads a few times after, failing. I'm not sure why it tries to reload when it's already loaded once successfully. Microsoft (R)...

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

Done - no effect. It's a driver issue, dxgkrnl.exe is "Microsoft DirectX Kernel Driver" and it's failing to load

Thanks for the help anyway, really appreciated.

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

I've done a diagnostic bootup through msconfig, disabling everything, and the problem is still there (although 10 seconds or so shorter). The same also happens on safe mode.

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

Thank you :) Updates: BIOS flashed to latest Chipset drivers updated VGA drivers could not be successfully installed. I ran into this problem on the first day, and guys over at another forum said it's normal because I'm using a dedicated graphics card. I can apparantely only install it if I...

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

Added specs as requested. Edit: Just realised there was a new bios update about a week ago - will flash and report back.

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

Yes, everything is 100% up to date. There are no graphics settings in the bios. I've installed w8.1 in UEFI mode, disabled CSM and enabled fast boot, still slow bootup. This was a fresh install and the black screen started right away although at the start it wasn't as long.

dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

I'll run that tool, thanks. No I don't. It happened right off the bat with my new build but I've just been so busy with uni to fix the issue. Now that I have a few weeks off I figured I'll try to fix it. What drivers should I uninstall? I deleted dxgkrnl.sys from system 32 after creating a...
