Now, that I can't really answer. Whatever was in the found folder, as far as I remember could never be relinked to the original files, or at least I never found a way. Logs here How to find ChkDsk results in Event Viewer logs in Windows 11/10 8-8.1 should be the same.

chkdsk only rewrites the Master File Table, I miss read the original post and assumed SFC was run. You can try Recuva though Run it on the C:\ drive, Shut everything else down. https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva/download

Task Manager - CPU usage at 22% is killing the PC

I looked up your battery and it has a 2600mAh battery. My Hp only has a 2200mAh battery and I let it sleep sometimes well over 12 hrs. I think you would be good letting it sleep. I do use it plugged in so whenever I put it to sleep and unplug it, it is 100% charged.

Task Manager - CPU usage at 22% is killing the PC

I would let it sleep and see how long the battery lasts. If hibernation is enabled, it will still go into hibernation when the battery gets too low to keep powering the comp.

Task Manager - CPU usage at 22% is killing the PC

It also has the advantage of deleting the large file "hiberfil.sys" giving you more disk space.

Task Manager - CPU usage at 22% is killing the PC

I have always had problems starting up my systems from Hibernate. I have always disabled Hibernate even on new systems. Sleep works just as well and starts up faster. If you want to disable Hibernate open a CMD window as Administrator and run the command: powercfg -hibernate off

Solved Extracting specific files from Windows install image (install.wim)

First go here and download SFCFix and run it. Save it to your desktop because it may create a file where it is run from. https://www.sysnative.com/forums/downloads/sfcfix/ It may automatically fix some or all SFC errors. If that doesn't help then go here, and go to step 2...

    Battery Always Charging

Nothing to worry about, unless you need to take with you, at which point 75% battery wont last very long. Why not just get a new battery.

    Google Chrome on Windows 8.1

Didn't know ChrEdge was also dropping support. Makes no difference since there are many other options out there. I'll just stick with my Pale Moon and use Waterfox classic for the few sites Pale Moon wont open.

    Google Chrome on Windows 8.1

They are also dropping Win 7. Which will probably make Edge the number 1 browser.

Yeah, they're gonna lose a lot of users. I personally don't use that useless browser.

    Solved Two Questions

Avast browser also does that. A few months back, I failed to uncheck the box to install the browser when updating. It didn't even put an icon on the desktop. I found it when looking in task manager to close a frozen app, and it had ten processes running while it wasn't even open.

    Solved Two Questions

I have a real problem with using the "Safely remove hardware" icon. It never works. I think because my antivirus is scanning the drives. Since Windows Doesn't use delayed write on removable drives by default unless you intentionally set the system to do so, you wont lose data by waiting a minute...
