    Neither of those even detected it. Is oas.exe supposed to be in appdata in the first place? I would think the file is too critical to wind up there, but I don't know much about it.

    I'm using whatever the latest version of Avast! is. I haven't paid anything for it, you can use it for free. The paid version is real-time but the free one isn't.

    I recommend using Avast! because of my recent experience with it. I had Webroot installed and Avast! noticed a virus Webroot had missed.

    Have you checked your PC for viruses or other unwanted programs recently? Many viruses can automatically download and install adware without you even noticing. Fortunately, in this situation you did notice.
